Iran to Support Agricultural Technology- Based Bodies: Deputy Minister
An official of Iran's agriculture ministry said according to the goals envisaged in the national policies, the whole facilities of agricultural and rural cooperatives have been mobilizing to help the agricultural technology-based bodies.
Hossein Shirzad, who is also the chairman of the Board of the Central Organization for Rural Cooperatives of Iran ( CORC ) informed on signing an MOU between Agriculture –Jihad ministry and Presidential technical and technology deputy for push the penetration index of technology up in the agriculture sector.
Elaborating the software and hardware facilities of the rural and agricultural cooperatives including shopping centers for agricultural inputs, agro-processing factories, and warehouses as well as the experience of seed production, Shirzad implied that supporting the agricultural technology-based organizations is of the main significant policies of CORC.
"The rural and agricultural cooperatives enjoy vast network throughout the country that can help to advertise the products of these organizations including bio-fertilizers, hybrid seeds, and herbal and probiotic medicines. Meanwhile, CORC can provide the laboratories, farms, warehouses and shopping centers for manufacturing and branding their products."
Emphasizing the full readiness of CORC to cooperate with the technology-based organizations to boost IoT |(Internet for things ) in the agricultural sector, the official asserted that CORC can aid them in holding expertise training courses as well as trade fairs.
