Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami said on Wednesday that there is a national consensus on promoting defensive capabilities, particularly missile power.
The Iranian official added that Iran has a determining role to play in the region and the enemies have been unable to make the country insecure due to its deterrent power.
Emphasizing that Iran has always been under the threat owing to its geopolitical and ideological significance, the minister described Iranian defense achievements as an undeniable necessity.
