Iran's Foreign Ministry arrived at Senegal's capital city of Dakar on Wednesday night.

After his visit of Bolivia, Mohammad Javad Zarif, leading a delegation, took a one-day trip to Senegal to have talks with his Senegalese counterpart as well as the country's parliament speaker.

Zarif left Tehran for New York on Saturday afternoon, July 13, to attend the annual meeting of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Iran Press reported.

Besides delivering speech in ECOSOC meeting, Zarif had talks with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, discussing such issues as US restrictions to the staff of Iran's office in UN as well as regional tensions, UK's illegal seizure of Iran's oil tanker, and reduction of commitments to Iran's nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Despite the restrictions the US government had imposed on Iran's Foreign Minister, he managed to have interviews with some media like CNN, NBC, PBS, and Bloomberg.

He also visited Venezuela to participate in the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) foreign ministers' meeting, and afterwards, he visited Nicaragua for bilateral meetings with senior Nicaraguan officials.
