Iran Leader awards General Soleimani with highest military order
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei awarded the Order of Zulfaqar to IRGC Quds Force Commander.
Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Qassem Soleimani is the first Iranian military official to receive Iran’s highest military order, the Order of Zulfaqar, after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
After the Order of Zulfaqar, the Order of Conquest is the highest military order, which General Soleimani has already received three times, Press TV reported.
The top general leads the elite Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, and is widely known as one of the most influential military commanders in the world.
Major General Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), has been named in the list of top Global Thinkers in the defense and security in Foreign Policy (FP)’s 2019.
