The Senior Spokesman of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi warns that Iran does not tolerate any threat to its joint borders with Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Referring to the firing of several mortar shells on the border areas of the country during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, General Shekarchi said: "We have warned them to be careful of arson and the devilish acts of foreigners, to resolve problems through peaceful means and dialogue, and not to endanger the security of the Islamic Republic of Iran by being careless in their military operations."

The senior spokesman of the Armed Forces stated: "Iran's good neighborliness and patience should not be abused, so we warn that we will tackle severely with any aggression or threat."

Earlier this week, Iranian media reported that an unmanned drone had fallen on Iranian border territory from Karabakh's combat area. Before that, the Iranian foreign ministry said eight shells had hit a house in the border area.
