“An extraordinary flight is to launch between Iran and Lebanon in a bid to bring home their nationals who have been stuck after the coronavirus lockdown,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi told ILNA.

Speaking to ILNA news agency, the spokesman said that so, a Mahan flight will leave for Beirut in the next few hours to return students, businessmen, and other compatriots living in Lebanon.

“At the request of the Lebanese government, a number of Lebanese citizens who were unable to return to their country due to the cancellation of flights will travel to Lebanon on the same flight,” he added.

Spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran also will deliver the consignment of medical aid to Lebanon to help the country with fighting against the coronavirus outbreak.
