The Spanish Charge d'Affaires Jose Luis Solano told The Spanish visa is not issued to Iranians who do not qualify to apply for visa.
According to ILNA news agency, the charge d'affaires of the Embassy of Spanish to Tehran confirmed that the people who are required to apply for a Spanish visa should verify that they meet all the necessary requirements.
“I think there are very good tourism relations between the two countries. We have many requests from Iranians who want to travel to Spain every year. ”
Jose Luis Solano added that during the past year, about 19,000 visas were issued to Iranians to travel to Spain.
All prospective applicants from Iran must apply for a Schengen visa while visiting Spain as their main country of destination.
“Every year we see an increase in the number of Spanish tourists interested in traveling to Iran,” The Spanish Charge d'Affaires said.
Solano said “Iran is a country that can attract Spanish tourists and us all here are ready to introduce them Iranian tourism attractions.”
