Ellie Geranmayeh, Deputy Director of the European Council Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Programme Senior Policy Fellow urged Europe not to be ambushed into US futile anti-Iran coalition.

'#Warsaw summit on Middle East looms tomorrow, but agenda & attendee list remain unclear. Read @ecfr perspectives on how US, #Iran, #Poland view this conference & why European capitals should avoid being ambushed into a futile anti-Iran alliance with US,' Geranmayeh tweeted on Tuesday.

'US admin seeks to cut off #Iraq's purchase of natural gas &electricity from #Iran, even though the country relies on those for a good portion of its energy needs. Iraq so far resisting, saying it would take 3yrs+ to adequately build up energy infrastructure,' she added.

Warsaw meeting is slated to be held on February 13-14.

US Secretary of State earlier said that the meeting would be aimed to discuss Iran's activities in the region but then he changed its objective into Middle East-related summit when he faced reaction from various countries especially European ones.

Mike Pence, Vice President of the United States and Jared Kushner, Senior Advisor to the President of the United States will participate in the event.

Based on the reports, Kushner will present US plan to establish peace among Israel and Palestine.

Criticizing the Warsaw meeting, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a message recently said, “Reminder to host/participants of anti-Iran conference: those who attended last US anti-Iran show are either dead, disgraced, or marginalized. And Iran is stronger than ever.'

“Polish Govt can't wash the shame: while Iran saved Poles in WWII, it now hosts desperate anti-Iran circus,” he added.

This is while, the Polish Foreign Ministry earlier in a statement appreciated Iran's aids, saying the country will never forget the supports and sympathies offered by Iran to Polish WWII refugees.
