Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a message urged President Donald Trump to rethink US 40-year failed policy.
#40YearsofFailure to destabilize Iran through blood & treasure,” Zarif tweeted on Tuesday.
“After 40 yrs of wrong choices, time for @realDonaldTrump to rethink failed US policy,” he added.
The massive turnout of Iranians in the rallies to mark the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution made US and Israeli officials angry.
US President Donald Trump, National Security Advisor of the United States John R. Bolton and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also expressed their dissatisfaction by releasing Twitter message on Iran Revolution.
Throughout Iran, millions of people took part in the annual rallies to support their 1979 Islamic Revolution in Tehran and more than 1,000 other cities and towns and at 4,000 villages. They carried banners, placards and balloons with slogans and pictures of the founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini and Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on them.
