Iranian communication minister says, attacks on the government are baseless.

"Mahmoud Vaezi", Iranian Minister of Information and Communications Technology, in his interview with ILNA, regarding appeals from some organizations for filtering some social networking websites like Telegram, told: "I haven’t heard any Iranian organization or state-run body to have such a decision. But the state’s policy is to let people become aware of the candidates’ plans, through any possible means."

"There’s no reason to filter Telegram social networking program. People can’t be restrained from using social networking in cyber space" he underscored.

Vaezi also added that cabinet and the ministry regardless of whether it would be cyber space or other media spheres, are against demolishing personalities and disrespect.

"We want to say that the cyber space shouldn’t become a tool for destructing the personalities. We believe that the cyber space can become a place for candidate’s advertisements without overspending in papers and posters’ publications."

According to Iranian top communication minister, the nation should pay attention to the candidates’ programs.

"Currently there’s a wave to attack the government with baseless numbers and fabricated statistics. This is an incorrect approach. As such I think the cyber space should be open to let the people use it" he added.
