Jahangiri's bid for running as president is urged by Khatami and agreed by Rouhani; Hazrati tells ILNA

Member of Iran's Parliament says, vice president's bid for running in the election was urged by former president.

"Elyass Hazrati", Iranian Parliament member, in his interview with ILNA, telling that "Eshaq Jahangiri", Iran’s Vice President’s bid for running in the election was urged by "Mohammad Khatami", Iran’s former president and top reformist official and was agreed by "Hassan Rouhani", Iran’s president. He emphasized that he’s the only cover candidate who is supported by reformists.

"He made a big and important decision" he stressed.

Hazrati calling presidential election and other election times as spring of politics, told: "There is an opportunity of using media for further expressing political views and opinions and during these times, words are better heard and the views are better laid out. This is a good chance for letting our reformist colleagues to enter the political stage and present their standpoints, and at the end leave the stage in favor of Rouhani."

According to Hazrati, Jahangiri is going to defend the government’s performance and will act as a complementary candidates in the race.
