Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's ambassador and permanent representative to international organizations based in Vienna has reiterated that there is no alternative to the Iran nuclear deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, JCPOA.

Ulyanov wrote on his X social network on Tuesday morning about the landmark deal between Iran and five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany.

A year ago, Western analysts and officials raised a lot of speculations about the second plan regarding Iran's nuclear program, he said, adding that “Russia was right and it always stressed that there was no realistic plan and alternative to the JCPOA”.

Iran agreed to sign the JCPOA in 2014 to cancel cruel sanctions imposed by the United States and its Western allies on different pretexts.
