Iran’s ambassador to Iraq said that the time and place for the 4th round of Iran-Saudi negotiations will be determined based on both sides’ agreement.

Iraj Masjedi said that he saw no problem on the way of the ongoing talks with Saudi Arabia.

"Iran insists that these negotiations must lead to tangible results," the Iraqi Al-Aoula News TV quoted Masjedi as saying.

The ambassador emphasized, "Iran favors brotherly and friendly ties with Saudi Arabia in political, economic, and cultural fields, but the three rounds of talks held thus far have led to no tangible results."

"There have been three rounds of talks amid a very friendly and brotherly atmosphere because Iran and the Saudis are both Muslim nations and therefore, any kind of problems between them has to be resolved through negotiations," said Iran’s ambassador to Baghdad in the interview.

He expressed satisfaction over the way the Iraqi government has managed the organizing of the Tehran-Riyadh negotiations, describing the Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi’s mediation role as quite important.

"Iran appreciates the efforts of Mr. al-Kadhimi and Iraq for providing the appropriate atmosphere for these talks," he said.

Elsewhere in the interview, Masjedi pointed to Iran's nuclear talks with the world powers, saying, "Tehran hopes the US administration resorts to a new strategy, which is the return to the agreement, termination of the anti-Iranian sanction, and a trust-building approach."
