Working with neighbors, Iran's administration priority

Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran in a series of tweets on Tuesday night, referring to his recent meeting with the Prime Minister of the UAE on the sidelines of the Baghdad Summit, stated that working with neighbors is a priority for Iran.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian described his conversation with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister of the UAE, positively and sincerely and said: "Iran and the UAE can take great steps towards cooperation and realization of neighborliness policy and diplomacy."

The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran continued by emphasizing that working with neighbors is a priority of the current administration of Iran, adding that Iran consults, empathizes and cooperates with its neighbors in order to advance relations between the two countries and achieve regional cooperation.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also emphasized on Twitter last Wednesday that neighbors and Asia are his first priority.

A regional summit in support of Iraq was held in Baghdad on Saturday. Amir-Abdollahian attended the meeting and delivered a speech and met with a number of participating officials.
