Some Iranian armed forces are set to take part in the Vladivostok International Military Tournament alongside the military of some other countries, including China and Russia.

International Army Games in 34 games will be held in Russia for two weeks from August 22, 2021, with the participation of Iran, China, Venezuela, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Serbia, Belarus, India, Algeria, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, and Armenia.

The International Army Games is an annual Russian military sports event organized by the Ministry of Defense of Russia (MoD).

The event, which was first staged in August 2015, involves close to 30 countries taking part in dozens of competitions over two weeks to prove which is the most skilled.

The games have been referred to as the War Olympics. In addition to the competition, the International Army Games includes a military theme park, a recruitment station, and souvenir shops.

The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy ship Guangyuan is sailing to Vladivostok and will participate in games including main armament firing at sea and marine rescue. Commissioned in 2017, the Guangyuan is a new-generation corvette independently designed and built by China.

The ship with 50 military crews is scheduled to demonstrate its combat capabilities with members of the armed forces of Iran, Russia, Venezuela, and other countries.

Competitions for divers and air defense missile forces will be held in Iran and China's Xinjiang, respectively.
