No insecurity on Iran-Afghanistan borders

A spokesman for Foreign Ministry said "There is no insecurity on the borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran with Afghanistan."

Saeed Khatibzadeh commented on the situation on the border crossings with Afghanistan after the recent Taliban movements.

He said "The borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran are in peace and security due to the efforts of the zealous border guards of our country, and there is no insecurity on the borders of our country with Afghanistan."

Khatibzadeh added "Following the clashes at the Islam Qala and Abu Nasr Farahi customs offices inside Afghanistan, several Afghans have entered Iran."

"The Islamic Republic of Iran will take the necessary measures under the laws and regulations and the border agreements with Afghanistan and within the framework of good neighborhood," he concluded.
