Iranian Intelligence forces have dismantled three terrorist teams, the Intelligence Ministry said on Sunday while reporting the arrest of the perpetrators of a terrorist explosion in the southeastern country.

A terrorist blast in the city of Saravan in late March killed a 16-year-old teenager and injured some other passersby.

The terrorist agents, who perpetrated the terrorist act, were linked to the Jeish ol-Zolm group who had received training in a foreign country, the report said.

Apart from this terrorist team, another terrorist team was also dismantled in the Iranian southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan.

This team, led by a European-based terrorist group, reportedly sought to carry out explosions and other terrorist attacks in religious sites across the province to create discord among followers of different religions.

Also, another terrorist team was traced and dismantled in the northwestern province of West Azarbaijan, the report said.

During the operation, two terrorist agents were killed and another one fled, it added.
