Heads of three branches of Gov't stress reduction of budget dependency on oil

The heads of Iran's three branches of government held a joint meeting and stressed the reduction of the budget dependency on oil as well as the necessity to supply the people's livelihood and health.

In their Tuesday meeting Hassan Rouhani, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, and Ebrahim Raisi stressed the reduction of the budget dependency on oil as well as the necessity to supply the people's livelihood and fight against the coronavirus for their health.

President Hassan Rouhani mentioned health, livelihood, thwarting sanctions, and stressed the convergence of the government, judiciary, and parliament over the budget plan.

Rouhani appreciated people for their cooperation in observing health protocols, asking them for continuing the cooperation; with regard to the COVID-19 vaccine, he said millions of doses of vaccines have been bout to be provided for people.

Judiciary Chief Ebrahim Raisi referred to the comments made by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on January 8 and pointed out: "The issue of neutralization of sanctions must be considered, and the effort of all agencies, based on the slogan 'we can', is to solve problems with the capable hands of our loved ones."

Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf stressed the reduction of the dependency of the country's economy on oil and appreciated the government's effort to reach the goal, considering it as one of the most important and fundamental pivots in reforming the budget structure and inflation in the country.

He said the meetings of the branches' heads are held with more coordination to concentrate on the country's important issues with the solving of the people's problems on top priority.
