Iranian Judiciary Chief Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi said in an interview with the Lebanese Al-Manar TV on Sunday night that Lt Gen Qasem Soleimani has been the commander of hearts and is in the hearts of all people in the region.
"Martyr Soleimani was an influential figure in the region and the enemy thought that by assassinating him, his path would be stopped and the axis of resistance would collapse."
"The assassination of Martyr Soleimani was carried out by the US government in a third country and this martyr was a guest of the Iraqi prime minister when the US assassinated him. What happened is a crime against international law," he said.
"Those who ordered and carried out this crime are guilty, and their prosecution will not be stopped, whether Trump is the president of the United States or not."
Pointing out that Iran knows who committed this crime, Raisi added: "The problem in the world today due to the rule of the hegemonic system is that there is no fair international court of justice."
Iran's judiciary chief also recalled the assassination of former Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Abbas al-Moussawi, noting: "Everyone knows and sees that Lebanon's power has not diminished with the assassination of al-Moussawi and the Lebanese resistance has become stronger than ever."
