Iran's Vice President for Science and Technology said that the mass production of coronavirus test kits has been started in Iran, which is done through blood testing.
Talking about the recent achievements of knowledge-based companies in Iran in fighting with coronavirus, Sorena Sattari said on Sunday: "Given the efforts of knowledge-based companies in producing various hospital equipment, there is no need to import them anymore ."
Sattari also talked about Iran's signs of progress in the biotechnology field and making a vaccine for coronavirus, noting that "knowledge-based companies in Iran could produce 23 biotechnological drugs and this is a unique matter in the region."
Unilateral and illegal US sanctions against Iran, which include basic goods and medical equipment, have created many problems for Iranian people, especially coronavirus patients.
Despite the sanctions, Iranian scientists could produce the required medical equipment to contain the spread of coronavirus.
