Chabahar-Muscat passenger sea line will start operating in February

Main Director of Sistan and Baluchestan province Ports and Maritime organization Behrouz Aghaei stated that after a two-year hiatus, the Chabahar-Muscat passenger sea line will start operating in February.

According to ILNA news agency, He added that a float will carry 240 passengers and 40 cars along the Chabahar-Muscat line.

“The journey takes between 2.5 and 3 hours,” he said.

Iran and Oman have launched a direct sea route between their strategic ports which would facilitate trade exchanges between the two countries.

The marine line connecting the two Persian Gulf littoral ports is now operational and is envisaged to help increase the economic interactions between the two countries.

Iran and Oman share a history of friendly ties in political and economic fields. Oman is among the top 10 destinations of Iran’s non-oil exports.
