Iran, Turkey to launch new bilateral trade ties

Iranian Ambassador to Turkey Mohammad Farazmand said Iran and Turkey are to maintain bilateral trade with new financial mechanism.

According to Turkish media, Farazmand said Iran and Turkey are supposed to launch a resistant financial mechanism against the US sanctions.

Referring to gas exports to Turkey, he said it needs more development.

He added that Tehran requires a new mechanism part of which is underway at the moment.

Stressing the fact that an exchange system can be established for doing trade based on national currencies, the Iranian envoy said both countries are launching a joint bank.

He went on to say that promoting bilateral trade relations is the countries' rights and no illegal act has been taken with this regard.

He noted that in addition to sanctions, the United States is also involved with economic terrorism and is affecting the rights of other countries including Iran and Turkey.
