Malaysian trade delegation due in Iran next week

A Malaysian commercial delegation will travel to Iran next Monday to talk with the Iranian companies and officials of Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.

The Malaysian team is headed by Zolkafili Mahmoud, executive director of Malaysia Foreign Trade Development Organization.

Comprising directors and representatives of the private sector companies, the 36-member delegation will arrive in the capital next Monday on a four-day official visit to the country.

The visit comes a week after Malaysian foreign Minister Anifah Aman's visit to Tehran and talks with President Hassan Rouhani, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Petroleum Minister Bijan Zangeneh.

The economic commercial team is scheduled to confer development of ties in post-sanctions era.

Another Malaysian oil and gas delegation comprising 15 companies are currently in Iran to attend the ongoing 21st International Oil, Gas, Refinery and Petrochemicals.
