"Iran’s oil industry was in the hand of the U.S. and Europe but over the last 10 years china also entered Iran’s oil market and parts of the equipment of the country's oil industry are Chinese," the former member of the Energy Committee in Iran's parliament," told ILNA.

Hedayatollah Khademi refers to the Iran-China 25-year Cooperation Plan in the energy sector, and said in an interview with ILNA news agency's correspondent that China was part of the development of phase 11 of South Pars gas field, which was a consortium consisting of Total, CNPC, and Petro Pars, and left it because of sanctions.

"For these reason china can participate in all of Iran’s oil sectors including construction of refineries, petrochemicals, and developing fields."

“Until 2001 china wasn’t in Iran’s market but has been accepted into the market after implementing Tabnak project. They can offer almost the same service as a European company,” Khademi stressed.

The Iranian official confirmed that China may be a rival to Iran in nuclear program, but in Vienna talks, Beijing talks in Tehran's favor, so that we must develop nuclear talk to advance our national interest.

Recently, Iran and china have signed a 25-year Cooperation Plan which includes cooperation in the field of energy and the Iranian foreign minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, announced the implementation of the 25-year cooperation plan.
