Economic and Commercial Counselor of Embassy of Spain says there are a large number of investment opportunities in Iran and Spanish companies are interested in investing in Iran.

Emilio Carmona Pertinez in a meeting with the head of the technology and information commission of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mine and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Mohammad Reza Talaeei said that Spanish companies are eager to invest in Iran because of a huge number of investment opportunities in the country.

He also welcomed holding the first virtual exhibition in Iran, saying that this exhibition will be a valuable opportunity for boosting the awareness and knowledge of foreign economic activists about Iranian products and the economy.

Meanwhile Talaeei, for his part, said that the meeting was aimed at introducing the first virtual exhibition in Iran and invitation of Spanish companies to attend the exhibition for the next editions of the exhibition and explained the properties of the virtual exhibition.

He underscored the impacts and damages of the coronavirus pandemic on holding domestic and international exhibitions and one of the advantages of holding virtual exhibition is to fill the vacuum of foreign companies which are unable physically attend the exhibition due to the travel restrictions.

The first virtual exhibition of Iran began on Tuesday, February 23, and will wrap up on March 15.
