chairman of Iran-UAE Joint Chamber of Commerce Farshid Farzanegan believes the arrival of Israeli fruits into the UAE markets will have no impact on Iranian fruits because Emiratis prefer Iranian good quality fruits to Israeli ones.

Speaking to ILNA, Farzanegan said that the driving engine of any country is its free trade and although Israeli fruits are seen in the UAE markets with lower prices, they have not received a warm welcome. He added that the price of Israeli fruits is even one-third but most people in the UAE prefer to buy Iranian fruits at higher prices.

He said Emiratis believe that Iranian fruits are more natural and organic and they prefer Iranian fruit tastes and they have used to their tastes for years, so changing the taste in the market is not an easy job. He reiterated that Iranians do not need to worry about it.

Farzanegan stated that we should know this point that there is a very tough competition in Iran’s export market destinations, and all rivals are trying to push Iran out of those markets and for this reason Iranians should have plans for their productions and exports.

He said if the country makes its economy stronger and its business climate better by reducing bureaucracy, then it will not need to worry.

On the halt for issuing visas by the UAE for Iranians, he said that halt for issuing visas for Iranians is temporary and as he has been informed, this issue will be resolved soon, adding that there are many assumptions on making such a decision but this will be resolved anyway, and it cannot create problem for the business.

Farzanegan went on to say that instead of being worried about such an issue, the country should focus on its internal economic issues by boosting quality, packing, and marketing of its products as the competition is getting tough, and the government should help exports and traders.
