In the meeting between Iran's top diplomat and Sarajevo's Mayer, the two discussed grounds for developing ties.

Iran’s ambassador to Bosnia Herzegovina meeting new Mayor of Sarajevo discussed ways of developing the two country’s ties in various grounds.

In the meeting, "Abdullah Skaka", Mayor of Sarajevo, congratulated Nowruz and the new Iranian year, and announced his country’s readiness to develop cooperation with Iran and told that the current century has witnessed the emergence of cities as active players in economic, cultural, social and international organization domains. For further developing international ties, "todays capitals have become countries' developing engine" he added.

Expressing hope that relations between the two country’s capitals would grow further and witness developing ties in tourism, top municipal official invited Tehran Mayor to visit the city and underlined cultural collaborations between Sarajevo and Tehran.

"Mahmoud Heidari", Iran’s ambassador to Bosnia in the meeting, congratulating Skaka’s election as new Sarajevo’s Mayor, marked the two nations’ historical and cultural commonalities and told that the two governments political will and interest in raising collaborations has bring up unique opportunities for further boosting and activating Tehran and Sarajevo’s municipal’s diplomacy.

At the end, Iran’s ambassador to Bosnia, invited Sarajevo’s Mayor for participating in Islamic world Mayors summit which is going to be held in Mashhad on April.
